We are living in extraordinary times. The evolution of COVID-19 and its impact on our daily lives is certainly a unique situation that requires vigilance. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by COVID-19 as well our governmental leadership and healthcare professionals. Working together, we will get through this period.
As a valued client of RS&F, I want to let you know that we’re monitoring COVID-19 and taking proactive measures accordingly. There are many uncertainties surrounding the virus and information is rapidly evolving. Therefore, we are following CDC and State of Maryland guidelines as it relates to responding to COVID-19 and mandated restrictions.
We want to provide you an update on matters that affect our team, our services, and our platform as well as several requests of you.
Our Team
The health and safety of the RS&F team and their families is of utmost importance. We have encouraged team members to follow CDC recommendations for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, we have introduced enhanced cleaning measures and supplies in our offices in order to reduce the potential for germ contamination. As suggested by health professionals, our team will remain home if they are sick and encouraged to take precautionary measures if they have family that is ill. In regard to team interaction, please note the following:
· If you meet a member of our team, we encourage alternative greetings rather than handshakes.
· We have encouraged our team to minimize external meetings and use web meetings and/or conference calls when possible.
· If a member of our team is ill, we encourage them to take care of their health and will make every effort to shift work assignments to other team members, as necessary.
Our Services
As your trusted advisor, we know it is times like this when you need us most and you can be sure our team is ready to support you. While we certainly don’t have answers as far as how COVID-19 will impact your business or the economy, we do have insight and perspective and can help you weather the storm. As it relates to deliverables we prepare this time of year, including financial statements and tax returns, our team is diligently working to meet upcoming deadlines. In regards to our services, please note the following:
· We strongly encourage you to remit tax information, financial statement workpapers, and other documents electronically rather than via mail or package delivery.
· We are working toward currently enacted deadlines and will make appropriate arrangements should these change due to pending legislation.
· If your business is materially impacted by COVID-19, please contact your RS&F relationship partner or manager for assistance or guidance.
· Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the pandemic, we request your flexibility if events require short-term adjustments in our various interactions with you.
Our Platform
RS&F’s service delivery platform supports telework arrangements should the need arise. We have internal work from home guidelines that outline interactions by and communication amongst our team for work performed outside the office. Additionally, our team is always available by phone and has the ability to transfer work calls to mobile phones. This robust platform was designed to provide exceptional service to you whether we’re working from home or the office. In regards to our platform, please note the following:
· If our team would normally work from or meet in your office(s) and that situation changes, please let us know as soon as possible so we may plan accordingly.
· If you require special accommodations for remote interactions with our team, please contact your RS&F relationship partner or manager.
