Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander, LLC Promotes Four Team Members

Owings Mills, MD, February 21, 2017 – Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander, LLC (RS&F), a business consulting and accounting firm, today announced the internal promotions of Jeffrey Rosen to partner, David Rosen to partner, Rob Kase to senior manager, and Matthew Rothstein to co-department head of the tax department.

In his new role as partner, Jeffrey S. Rosen, CPA, CGMA, MBA, will focus on business development opportunities, expanding the firm’s strategic initiatives, while continuing to oversee the firms IT, marketing, and human resources areas.  In addition to his new responsibilities, Rosen will continue to work with clients pursuing business advisory, consulting, and compliance engagements.  Rosen earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park and his Master of Business Administration from the University’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

David S. Rosen, Esq., CPA, has also been promoted to partner.  As partner, Rosen will continue his oversight of the tax department and expand his external efforts to promote the firm’s highly regarded tax practice.  In addition, Rosen will continue to lead the firm’s tax consulting practice, manage large corporate and high net worth client relationships, as well as continue business development activities.  Rosen is one of the only CPA firm partners in the region that has experience as a tax attorney at a national firm as well as in the tax practice of a top CPA firm and he will continue to use this experience to help sophisticated clients navigate complex business transactions.

Rob Kase, CPA, CITP, CGMA, has been promoted to senior manager at Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander. Kase manages a significant number of client engagements, including many of the firm’s largest clients. As senior manager, Kase will continue to improve the efficiency of the tax department, leverage IT to best benefit the firm’s team and clients, and more. Kase earned his Bachelor of Science from Loyola University.

Matthew Rothstein, CPA, MST, is the new co-department head of the tax department.  In his new management position, Rothstein will oversee many responsibilities of the tax department’s day-to-day management and its production process. Rothstein will work closely with David Rosen, his co-department head, in the oversight of departmental functions and implement efficiencies and best practices. Rothstein received his Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University in accounting and his Master of Science in taxation at the University of Baltimore.
